A sandstorm passes by. In the middle of a blazing sunlit canyon, two friends stand face to face. One is a quiet-eyed trainer, and next to him is a yellow friend with electricity in his veins—Pikachu.

“Ready, partner?”

“Pikachu!”

Pikachu's eyes sparkle and his tail wags slightly. It's a signal. It means he's ready.
